I'm attending PAX East at the end of March, and expect to spend much of my time in the tabletop game areas (hopefully playing a lot of D&D). However, having never attended a PAX in Seattle, I am unaware of how their game rooms and game events are run (since my small amount of research does not seem to indicate the same sort of 'sign-up' or 'ticket' method like GenCon has).
As I'm hoping to both DM and play in some 4E games there, is there anyone here who has been to the Seattle PAX before and knows how their tabletop room and games are run? Is it a free-for-all, just go into the room and find people and start playing random games... or do you have to reserve tables / games and such? I don't want to bring all my minis and dungeons tiles into the convention center if I discover there's no space for me to run the adventure I was planning.
Thanx all!
