There’s been a lot of things that have happened in that month, from the 5th edition of D&D finally going OGL to a number of interesting Kickstarters being launched. The end of the year/beginning of the year time can be quiet normally, with everyone recovering from the drag of the holidays, but this year has seen a lot happen. An announcement came from Burning Wheel HQ that <a href="https://www.burningwheel.com/?p=983" target="_blank">Burning Wheel would take over publication of Dungeon World</a>, a fan-favorite indie fantasy RPG, previously self-published by Sage La Torra and Adam Koebel. This frees up La Torra and Koebel to focus on creating new material for the game and not have to worry so much about the production end of things. Hopefully, this will mean better penetration into distribution for the game, because I think that there is an audience out there for this style of game, and while Dungeon World has been very successful I think that there are more people that the game can reach. I also hope that this means good things for the Dungeon World powered Rat Queens game that Kurtis Wiebe has mentioned on Twitter.If you would like an introduction to Dungeon World, there is a bundle <a href="https://bundleofholding.com/presents/DungeonWorld2" target="_blank">featuring the core rules and some adventures and supplements</a> at the Bundle of Holding until Janurary 25th, 2016.Item! Subscription bundles for tabletop gaming are starting to explode. <a href="http://www.mythoard.com/" target="_blank">Mythoard</a> (an excellent RPG subscription box that features adventures, supplements and sometimes entire rulesets) is already gearing up for the new year, but we have new contenders in <a href="http://www.wargames-supply.com/" target="_blank">Wargames Supply</a> (focusing on the miniatures aspect of gaming) and <a href="http://dungeoncrate.com/" target="_blank">Dungeon Crate</a> (covering a little bit of both of these areas).I am expecting a sample from Wargames Supply, so I will talk more about that once I can see what they’re doing.[ATTACH]73193[/ATTACH]Item! It looks like Troll Lord Games is going to be jumping into the online subscription territory for their game content. Still in what I would call an Alpha state, the Troll Lords Portal will feature “In short, everything. Our intent is to upload all the content from all our publications to the Portal, allowing you easy access to the material at the gaming table. Furthermore, all new material will be loaded up to the site as well. So for your monthly subscription, you’ll have easy access to everything. Right there at the gaming table, whether at conventions, on the road, in your own house, it’s all quick and easy.” They’re saying $5.99 a month for this service, which is web-based, so that you can access Troll Lord Games games from a tablet or phone, without having to lug around all of the books. Detwiller’s official move from one company to the other will come after he finishes Harebrained’s Necropolis.</blockquote>
