Tactical feats from Complete Warrior.....

Hi all,

With regards to the above, is a character able to use more than one of the strategies given in a single round?

I was thinking along the lines of the Elusive Target Tactical Feat and nominating one enemy for negating its power attack whilst also making use of say the ability to cause a flanker to hit his buddy?

Thoughts anyone?

The tactical feats from CW are kinda screwy. As I recall, it doesn't really specify in the rules whether they are usable all at once. The fact that they are each singled out means that it could be something you need to designate at the beginning of your action. It would be nice if the rules actually said one way or the other.

The Elusive Target one is pretty unbalanced though if you can use all those things at once. Elusive Target is all defense, so theoretically, you could use more than one at a time, but due to how powerful that makes the feat, as the DM I would require the player to specify which one they are using. Some of the feats have abilities you could pretty much ONLY use one at a time, such as the mounted combat and bull rush feats.

Yes, as long as the spoecific situation for each tactic is happening, then you can use that tactic. So, if you create a situation where more then one can be used at the same time and you have the actions to do them; you can do them.

Are you kidding? Giantkiller for starters REQUIRES you to use two of it's abilities simultaeneously.

Shock trooper (IIRC - the bullrush one) has a part which lets you direct a bullrush, and another part that lets you make free trip attempts if you bullrush one target into another enemy. Your telling me that can't be used at the same time as the directed bullrush??

All the powers work any time the conditions for them are satisfied. Full stop. The feat is powerful, sure, but it also has a level 6 minimum and 3 or 4 required feats. It's SUPPOSED to be powerful. It's SUPPOSED to be something that makes a high-level fighter valuable.

Hi!

I had this situation IMC yesterday turned up, and I was surprised how useful the Elusive Target Tactical Feat is. I'd to smirk as one of "my" two Blackscale Lizardfolk Barbarians hit its buddy.... ;)

I think the Elusive Target feat should work as you propose. As Saeviomagy said, it should be powerful.

Kind regards
