Rolled up my character. Usually I just play generalist wizards, but decided to go necromancer this time. Not necessarily planning on a prestige class, but maybe I'll pick up loremaster down the line.
Darneth Rauthym
Stats: [sblock] Human necromancer level 1 Alignment: Neutral Str 10 Dex 14 Con 15 Int 18 Wis 14 Cha 10 HP: 6 Fort: +2 Ref: +2 Will: +4 AC: 12 Languages: Common Draconic Elven Gnome Infernal Skills: Concentration: 4+2 = 6 Knowledge (Religion): 4+4 = 8 Knowledge (Arcana): 4+4 = 8 Search: 2+4 = 6 Spellcraft: 4+4 = 8 Spot: 2+2 = 4 Feats: Arcane Defense (Necromancy) Scribe Scroll Spell Focus (Necromancy) Equipment: Masterwork light crossbow Quiver with 20 bolts Dagger Spellbook Spell component pouch Bedroll 50' of hemp rope 10 foot pole Ink and pen Waterskin Rations, 5 days Spells per day: 3/2 + 1 necromancy Barred schools: Enchantment and Illusion Spellbook: all cantrips, detect undead, identify, mage armor, magic missile, protection from evil, ray of enfeeblement, summon monster I [/sblock] Just going to make him a wizard from the Realms, since I can fake that setting fairly well. Background: [sblock] Darneth Rauthym is the son of two wizards who live in the city of Silverymoon. He inherited his parents' gift for magic, but never shared the sense of justice they tried to instil in him while growing up in the Silver Marches. Upon discovering that their son was studying the arts of necromancy which they abhorred, they disinherited him, and he turned to a life of adventure. He made his way to the city of Waterdeep where he joined an adventuring company planning an expedition into the vast labyrinth of Undermountain. Unfortunately, just after the party entered the first level of that dungeon, the party barbarian triggered a strange portal and Darneth accidentally stepped through it. There he met man in a red cloak who offered him a crossbow of incredible quality to help him with a magical experiment. After a few words from him Darneth opened his eyes and found himself in these woods. Eventually, he encountered others who shared a similar story.[/sblock] Appearance and personality [sblock] Darneth is of average height and build. He has fair skin, dark hair, blue eyes, and wears a short trimmed goatee. He is amoral, caring only about gaining magical knowledge, hungering for the power it will give him. [/sblock]
