Tales of the Caliphate Night - a question

I want to play a sha'ir. I like the idea of this class, but imho AD&D sha'ir was unbalanced and (worst!) unplayable, because he has too high level spells but too many rounds after his death in combat.

Can I find a sha'ir class in this book? -> pdf at EnWorldGameStore
What is True20, this is not d20?

I'm not sure whether a sha'ir is in the book or not.

True20 is a streamlined d20 ruleset published by Green Ronin. It's a very well-executed and flexible system, IMO, but does have some noticable changes from core D&D, notably a toughness save instead of hitpoints, and feats every level instead of class abilities.

Not sure if there's a sha'ir in there.

However, I can tell you that there's a 3E conversion of the sha'ir in Paizo's Dragon Compendium and in Dragon #315.

I've only had a brief scan of the pdf. There is a Sha'ir archetype that can be used and the pdf suggests feats, skills and powers for a character to achieve this. True20 is a variant of d20 but a 'simpler' version that only requires a d20 for all dice rolls.

It's worth looking at Green Ronin's True20 website.
