Boghum Freeheart War . . . it's an ugly business. There are kids alive today who have no memory of the Last War, no real memory at any rate. Sure, they might know an uncle, or a cousin, or a town hero who served in the war, but they've never seen it up close. Never smelled it on their doorsteps. Never tasted it in the morning. Funny thing is, some of these kids are older than me. They don't know the realities of the War, but I do. I've seen the things people can do to each other. I've seen the atrocities and the acts of courage. And I've seen what war can do to a man, how it can corrode his soul. Not many people could survive what I've seen. Then again, I'm a Warforged. Boghum Freehart: Warforged Inquisitive Boghum was "born" five years before the end of the war. Attached to an elite Brelish Recon Unit, he saw a lot of combat and avoided a lot more. During the war, he did his level best to keep the War from noncombatants whereever he was assigned. When he finished his military duties, he spent time as a volunteer helping Cyran refugees. Eventually, the horror became too difficult to deal with, and he moved to Sharn and went into business for himself. He's turned his training to good use and now earns a living investigating crimes and other mysteries for whoever can pay him. Underneath his tough, grizzled, and uncaring exterior, however, Boghum still has a strong desire to help those in need. "Hate to see a woman or child cry," he'll say, "I'll take your case, pro bono, even though it's against my better judgment." Boghum Freeheart Male Personality Warforged Rog 3/ Master Inquisitive 3 Stats: Emphasis Int., Wis., Dex Feats: Mithril Body, Inquisitive, Mithril Fluidity Skills: Gather Information, Search, Sense Motive, Listen, Spot, Heal (all maxed); Hide, Move Silently (maxed from Rogue).
