I'm actually going thru something now with something I ordered from PlayAsia recently. https://www.play-asia.com/azure-striker-gunvolt-trilogy-enhanced-10th-anniversary-complete/13/70idqx I ordered this on 4/26 of this year. Way BEFORE May 2nd when the US changed the Tariff/duties/De minimis fees exemption concerning stuff made in China, and WAAAAY before August 28th/29th and yesterday. (Basically, BEFORE De Minimis got tossed out the window). It was $99+$45(Express delivery 3-5 business days) which came about to $137.09. Then I had to pay an additional $8.01 because they "weighed it wrong" and I was like whatever. Everybody gets their pound of flesh when it comes to shipping fees these days. Ain't no way around that. They say that it's all good now after paying that and I don't have to do anything else. Yesterday, they message me saying if I stick with the Express, it's gonna be an additional 30 dollar Tariff on top. If I do economy shipping, it will take 30 days, but no tariffs. Long story short is: I had a long discussion with the customer service team. I told them that they lied to a customer and that they were doing false advertisement. How you ask? Earlier this year, in the uncertainty of tariffs looming over, PlayAsia, in a response of their own, assured customers that any orders placed BEFORE August 28 would be honored and ANY UNFORSEEN TARIFFS/fees/duties would be covered by PlayAsia.(Again and on my Invoice they gave me, the order/purchase was made on 4/26. And I was supposed to get this in July technically). And because I can be a toxic/spiteful person when I want to be, I even took pictures and sent them attachments of the VERY SAME THING assurance they promised to their customers earlier in the year. The Only thing I wish I had a pic was the item page during April where it legit said on there in orange "Not affected by Tariffs." (That seemed to have suddenly vanish). I am waiting to hear back and see what kind of BS they say/use to cheat me out of my $45 dollars for Express delivery. And if they try any.BS, I'm disputing the charge with my credit card provider.
