Hello! For my adventure, I need to design several task forces, each one is sent to kill a different demon. I'd like to design some diversity. Each task force should be composed by 4 or 5 characters, of level about 5°-6°, and they must destroy an unaware Babau (CR6) or a Succubus (CR7) the quickest way possible. Please do not use expensive magic items or unrealistic gears. I don't need the several task forces to be balaced, one could be far more effective than another. What I'd like to have is a high range of variations. For example, a handful of Paladins with sacred cold-iron great swords would bypass demons high resistance. They could have easily +12 melee attack using "smite evil" a couple of times, and deal some 2d6 +2d6 +7 damages. They would hit with some 70% chance, dealing 21 damages on average. In 2 rounds they should be able to kill the Babau or the Succubus. Maybe not every one of them has a sacred weapon, for most of them a good-aligned weapon would suffice. Or a group of Bards and Wizards with sonic damage spells? They are so few, but something like Bonefiddle, Dissonant Chord, Orb of Sound, Resonating Bolt and Sound Burst? Edit: a little beyond requisites, there is a Dismissal spell. Other ideas? Which spells could be useful? They could be inefficient or eterogeneous, these task forces are the best a nation has put togheter to face a menace. Thanks a lot!
