A well-dressed messenger enters the Inn, surveys the clientele with a look of contempt, and makes his way over to the bar. “Is this ‘establishment’ the Dunn Wright Inn?” he inquires with a sneer. Marla doesn’t bother to look up at him. “Dunno. What’d it say over the door when you came in?” The messenger makes a disgusted noise. “I’ve an invitation for one ‘Most Benevolent Seeker, Etc.’ from Dame Emiliana Forenicci.” The tiefling looks up in surprise at this, and a smirk breaks across her face. “The choirboy? For Dame Forenicci? Really? That’s him in the corner – the one with his nose stuck in a book. Hey, choirboy, over here! Message for you!” The young man stands, somewhat uncertainly, and walks across the room to the bar. The messenger thrusts the card into the young man’s hands, and hurries away without another word. “What … wait!” the young man calls, but the messenger is already out the door.
