Sound of Azure
Contemplative Soul
There I was going through my "old" Dragon magazines, and I came across Issue 320. In the column "The Play's the Thing", there's a bit about a thing called the "Teamwork Pool".
Basically it goes like this: A PC with Leadership, and a new feat detailed in the Column "Inspiring Leader" that gives you a small bonus on leadership, and the ability to create the teamwork pool.
You and your comrades can then spend skill points to grant abilities to the party, such as swapping iniative scores, improving the aid another action, or granting bonuses to Diplomacy checks when all together.
Has anyone tried this system out? How'd it go?
I was considering implementing the system with no feat requirement, but having it as an exta option to spend skill points on. I'd keep the time requirement in place, however.
Or, to save skill points for other things (probably a good thing), I could allow them to spend XP instead of skill points.
Does anyone have any favourite house rules that promote and enhance teamwork and the growing bond between the PCs (or NPCs, for that matter)?
