Tell me about Living FR games

So, I signed up for a LFR game at Gencon UK, but I admit that I'm not really sure about how that works. Am I expected to arrive at the table with a character that I made?

Yes, you should bring a character that you made for the game. The RPGA website should have details about character creation, but it's pretty much like making any 4E character. The scenarios I played in at Gen Con are fun, and I would suggest playing in more than one- so you can see your character advance a bit. Three games would be perfect and leave you time to do other stuff (I did four, but three gained me a level).

You should create a character following the guidelines provided here.

That way you can play the character you want, instead of whatever pregenerated character they might have available.

Fill out a character sheet, bring your PHB, or any other sources for your character (Dragon Magazine Article, etc.). Also bring a copy of the Character Tracking Sheet. You will need it to track your advancement during the con.

Bring some dice and a fun attitude, and you're set.

Hope you have fun.

Thanks for the info. :)

Advance booking is over and I was planning of trying a lot of different stuff at the Con, but I'll see about playing in more than one event when I get there...
