I have been using Phil's stuff since he released the limited edition of the Book of Unusual Treasures. One item that has gotten considerable use is the Dwarven Fighting Mug. I introduced them to the game slowly, first by having the party find a couple on some dwarven skeletons (the non-animated kind) they found. A Barbarian of the Half-Orc persuasion saw a large, heavy, beat-up drinking mug and claimed it as his own. Later in the adventure, after having used the mug quite a bit for drinking, they encountered some animated dwarven skeletons that were attacking with the mugs. The half-orc noticed a similarity with his new favorite mug, pulled it out, and started bashing skeleton skulls with it. Several game sessions later the party finally met some live dwarves (none in the party) and the barbarian learned that there is a whole fighting style devoted to the mug. He eventually picked up the feat to effectively use the mug, and it is now one of his favorite weapons. He's trying to get the groups Wizard to make him a magical frost fighting mug. I also sprinkle a number of the mundane treasure items into the mix of treasure to add some variety to their treasure. The party likes the fact that they are getting more than coins and gems and "artwork" as treasure. Plus the history of some of the treasures make great adventure ideas. I could go on, but that would take awhile. I am a subscriber to the DM Idea Pipeline, I own about a dozen other Ronin Arts PDFs, and I look forward to more. They add flavor and a great deal of color to the game.
