Without even looking at the thumbnails available at the publisher's <a href="http://www.darkfuries.com" target="_blank">website</a>, I bought it immediately, confident that the publisher's standards wouldn't have gone down from the previous products. And I wasn't disappointed!The presentation of the product is quite simple, but efficient : once you unzip the file you've downloaded from RPGnow, you simply have to open an HTML file. The page has two frames : the one on the left containing various links and the one on the right being the one in which the content is shown. Alternatively, you can view the various picture by simply browsing the folder that was created.In addition to the introduction and legend pages that are common to the three products by Darkfuries, you also get a description of the deities to which the places of worship are devoted, all issued from Maelstrom Fantasy Campaign Setting. Of course, the setting is not necessary to use this product, but some thought has been put into the linking of a god with a place of worship. For example, the church of the god of disease is composed of subterranean rooms within the sewer system of a city.There are 47 maps detailing 30 various places of worship. You get 4 shrines, 15 chapels, 8 temples, 2 churches and a cathedral. For every map, you get a description of the map in general, as well as a description of each area of the map.The floorplans look good and are laid out with a dotted-line grid. Each square is 5' on a side, which is perfect for D20, and when printed on standard paper, the scale is such that you are able to use 25mm miniatures on the map without any problem.One thing could be improved however : some maps include secret doors, which are shown. A DM wouldn't thus be able to simply print out the map and lay it on the table in front of the players as they'd see the secret doors. ConclusionTemple & Shrines is a useful, well-made product. Whereas there is room for improvements, this product is in the top list when you consider the the quantity and quality of the floorplans compared to the very low price (5$). It seems the publisher is aware of the small problems in this product as the next will include DM's and Players' maps. We'll also get D20 characters in this upcoming product, which means we'll be able to simply take a location, print it and the NPC linked to it, and insert it in a campaign without any work. Too bad this isn't the case for this product, it would have raised the score I give it to 5.</blockquote>
