Perynomen Male Pixie Wilderness Rogue 4 or 3 [Race MM pg.236 or SS pg.190 (not sure which should be used as the SS one gets a fey HD, but the MM says they replace it with their first class level) / Class UA pg.56] Character sheet to come. Background Born in the idyllic forest of Aelvalla, which runs along the base of the majestic Eternal Peaks, Perynomen started life like many pixies, flitting around the forest, and leading travellers astray, especially those that came too close to discovering their hidden haven. Though after some years he became disenchanted with this simple existence, finding he wasn’t all that much like his kin that were happy to stay within the bounds of their forest home. Leaving his kin to their merry little pranks, he left the safety of Aelvalla to explore the world at large. He has been exploring the world ever since, passing through various lands without trouble. At least until he came upon the desert lands of Relghour which stretch from the mighty volcanic mountain range of the Holocaust Peaks, which border the desert on the west and north, to the Barren Sea in the east, and the unforgiving Plains of the Forsaken to the south. The desert was huge and vastly different from his idyllic forest homeland as it could possibly be. Extreme heat scorched his small body during the day, while the cold of the nights weren’t much more pleasant, but he had heard there were great treasures to be discovered and so he continued onward, eventually reaching an oasis where he found a tribe of Jann encamped. He watched them for a while in his invisible state, until he was satisfied his presence wouldn’t immediately cause hostility, before appearing directly in front of the leader of the tribe and introducing himself. Surprised by his appearance, but feeling unthreatened by such a small creature, Sar’salen welcomed Perynomen to his tent and explained that his tribe controlled the desert for several hundred miles around the oasis. After pleasantries were exchanged and guest rites satisfied, Perynomen spent his time querying the sheik and his viziers about the great treasures to be found in the desert, using his ability to probe the minds of others to no avail on the Jann present, as they replied that they knew of no such treasures. Feeling that they were holding out on him, he decided then and there to relieve the greedy creatures of some of their own wealth in revenge. So as he left the Jann the next day, dissatisfied with the answers he’d received, he took with him Sar’salen favourite jewel encrusted scimitar and an amulet the sheik had worn the previous night at dinner. As he flew away from the camp with the trinkets in hand, he heard a commotion arise as his theft was discovered, and managed to pick up the gist of what was being shouted from the camp. That the Jann of Sheik Sar’salen would hunt him to the ends of the Endless Falls, for the offense he had given. Having incurred the wrath of Sheik Sar’salen with his prank, designed to teach the greedy Jann leader a lesson, Perynomen wanted to be as far from the desert as quickly as possible. Knowing he could not return home, as he didn’t wish to endanger his kin, he headed for the one place his skills might be appreciated, and where they might be able to hold the Jann who were howling for his blood at bay...the Kingdom of Knowledge.
