I thought this spell gave you a Fighter's BAB?

But it gives you +1 for every two caster levels. Which is even with a Fighter's BAB.

14th level wizard gets the BAB of a 7th level fighter. Which is +7/+2; his SAME BAB.

Or am I reading this wrong?

Are you adding them together? It should +14 for the spell and the orginal BAB of the Wizard.

you've read it correctly Xarlen (+1 per 2 caster levels)

so it would be: 14th-level Wizard (BAB +7/+2) +7 (from the spell) for a total of +14/+9/+4

Yes... +1/2 lvls. PLUS 1. So, you have a BAB of half of a fighters, and it gives you the other half.

You gain a +1 bonus to BAB for every two levels. Just read it to double check.
