Tentacle Rods... what book are they in?

I did some research and I've discovered that the magical weapon, Lesser and Greater Tentacle Rods are in the Arms and Equipment guide... but I don't own that book and I SWEAR i've seen in somewhere in my collection. Anyone know where else it's been printed?

They're also featured in older-edition books (specifically, G3 Hall of the Fire Giant King and FOR2 Drow of the Underdark), and IIRC in Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil and the FR Underdark sourcebook.
