Came up with an idea a while back and it's been swirling around in my head but i'm not sure how much traction I would get with it. So here's the pitch.

A Fan Creation site for Video Game stuff (items, magic systems/rules, New Battle Systems alltogether, Classes, Races, Gods whatever have you )

Were this Theoretical site come up I think I would focus the most on 5E. The thing that set me off to make this topic is a thread where somone had put lots of effort within to create chocobos. I figure there's a pretty damn big crossover between the two. Im sure many of you at some point in time wanted to run a game in Final fantasy VII's world, or Venture through Hyrule, perhaps some sort of Gears of World game? It doesn't even have to stop there. There are many books that could fill this description.

While these boards are great a coming up with stuff much of it is not organized in almost any way. My proposal would focus in on games and start statting the hell out of everything. Starcraft zerg? Protoss carriers? Anything goes.

Good idea ? Bad Idea? Brace for the rage of the sun with a billion C&Ds?

I think the basic problem with such a site (other than the C&D question) is simple: Such things may be fun to create, but I don't think they'd see a lot of use. You may see lots of production (or not, I can't say), but I'm going to guess not a lot of consumption - I don't need a zerg unless I'm running a Starcraft game. I don't need a dalek unless I'm running Doctor Who.

It's not a bad idea, but I guess you'd really need to get a lot of people interested in running something like that. If it was a forum format divided into different areas, then that could be pretty cool. :)
