The Absense of Products for 2008 Can Only Mean...

5th Edition!!!

I know some of you think it means 4th edition, but that simply can't be the case... I mean there's no announcement for 4th either, so obviously no 4th!!

That said I'm very upset over this!!! I mean how dare wizards screw all of us with such a large vested interest in 4th edition!! I mean, sure 5th edition might be cool, but come on, nothing can ever beat the uberawesomeness of 4th edition!!!

And since 4th edition was totally skipped it just sucks for us. There was so much left to do with the system... Now all we ever do is get to sit around staring at each other every so often rolling a d20...

Yes I KNOW I can still use my old 4th edition stuff for 5th edition (fluff never changes and I guess I can convert the crunch myself...) but who wants to do all that work...

Stupid Wizards.

Amen.

Although, they havent' announced 5E yet, either. So I'm getting ready for 5.5E. I mean, that has to be where they're headed, right?

Right?

They oughta just go straight to years for numbering like software does:

Dungeons and Dragons 2008 Basic Edition
Dungeons and Dragons 2008 Professional Edition
Dungeons and Dragons 2008 Enterprise Edition (unlimited seating)

Uh oh. I better watch it, or WotC will get ideas.

Personally, I think them not releasing products is a harbinger of... them not releasing products!

Yes, it's true, I fully expect to see an announcement of the cancellation of Dungeons & Dragons. Unless, of course, they choose instead to quietly bury the game but never formally cancel it, just in case they want to do a "Saga Edition" at some undisclosed future time.

:D

Don't forget this one:

Dungeons and Dragons 2008 Media Edition

a crappier version of all the others, but you need it if you want to get the most out of your xbox D&D.

Also you can buy the optional 200.00 media extender d20.

Huh. I am still upset that Dungeons & Dragons visual integrated sound-tone alpha ("Vista") asks me every 5 minutes if I want to continue reading.
