If I were to apply my demon template to an advanced Abyssal Maw (MM II), I would get something very similar to this creature. A couple of questions/recommendations: 1. Shouldn't it be able to use greater teleport? I think all (or virtually all) demons of 6 HD or greater have this ability. 2. Shouldn't the damage be 3d8? (The base creature is 2d8, and p. 291 of the MM suggests that 2d8->3d8 on a size increase). I suppose you were going by the table on page 296 of the MM, weren't you? 3. Shouldn't the rend the fallen damage be the same as the base damage? (As per the Abyssal Maw.) 4. Isn't it a little too fast? (speed for an Abyssal Maw is only 30. 40 could be ok, but 50 is a bit much, imho) 5. How many skill points does it have? I count 66, which is more than a 6 HD outsider with an intelligence of 8 should have. Also, it seems like it has 10 ranks in a number of skills, which is more than the cap of 9 for a 6 HD creature. That it be poisonous seems a little odd. Few demons have a poison bite, and few creatures with a huge bite attack also poison their victims/prey.
