Alea Publishing Group has released the Alea Publishing Group Reference Document (APGRD) Encyclopedia to help publishers take ideas from APG products (and other sources) and implement them into their products.
Everything placed in the APGRD Encyclopedia is considered Open Game Content.
Most game definitions have an example to better visualize the layout of the new rule. We will be updating the APGRD Encyclopedia from time to time and we also encourage other publishers to send us their OGL game rules to make a one stop place for publishers.
Why are we doing this? To put it simply, with all of the d20 system products that are available, third party publishers (those that are not WOTC) will eventually (if they have not already) come up with rules that are similar but are not exact. This can overall cause confusion to the customers in deciding, "What version of the rule should I use?" This will also help consumers streamline their game mechanics into a universal forum like the SRD. It is a way to unite small (and big) third party publishers alike into one giant reference document comparable to WOTC's SRD.
Thanks and I hope we can start a first in uniting under a common thread,
Josh
