With a footnote along those lines, and considering I do *not* want to deviate from the awakened animal stats as produced by the Awaken Spell, how would you prefer the LA for these types of very weak creatures were listed:1) LA: +0, with a footnote of a possible negative LA2) LA: --, with a footnote of a possible negative LA3) LA: -X, with a footnote that the DM may want to use LA +0 insteadOption 1 is the one I personally like *least*, because it is misleading - nobody can argue that an awakened toad is even close to balanced in comparison with the average human (or the average kobold, for that matter). Option 2 gives a value judgement on how "playable" the race is. Option 3 is the most informative, because it gives the best-estimate LA up front.</blockquote>
