War raged about them... Rain poured down in a relentless torrent among the defenders of Ironstone Keep. Sounds of battle echoed throughout the night as the fighting along the walls became a little more desperate. Darrick growled and tried to shake off the pain of the wound in his leg. Luck had been with him and he had managed to avoid being hit for the most part still that gash stung. This was nothing like the pain of getting beaten in a bar brawl. The tall woodsman swung out with his scimitar and the soldier before him dodged and tried to counter with his sword. The blow was sloppy and managed to glance off of the leather armor Darrick wore. Nym was in dire straights as he tried desperately to fend off the two swordsmen. Already sporting a shoulder wound, a grazed scalp wound that would have blinded him had not the rain kept washing away the blood, and a wound to his side that would need tending to as soon as possible. He stepped aside a stab with a spear and brought his palm up under the mans jaw and had the grim satisfaction of connection with the knowledge the blow did little real damage to the seasoned veteran. These were much different than the occasional drunken brawler. Tear had cut down one opponent with his mighty great sword however he too wasn’t faring too well. His killing blow had left him open to a couple strikes and now was bleeding from two deep wounds. Both he and Nym wouldn’t survive another hit. Darrick knew this and was trying to get to the only person he could truly call a friend. Kalani thrust forward with her spear and stuck her oponant in the thigh the point sinking past the chain links and biting into flesh.
