Heya: The _best_ comics? Okay, stuff that I get that I know I'm guaranteed to enjoy: Amelia Rules, Ultimate Spider-Man, Liberty Meadows, and Powers, in no particular order. I know that after reading any of those, I'm gonna have a smile on my face. I'd list stuff like Astro City but recent issues don't seem to have the same energy the comic had several years ago. JLA under Morrison was spectacular, recent writers not so much, and the current art borders on the physically painful. If we can count Barry Ween, then might as well count Frumpy the Clown. Both are awesome, when has something new involving either come out? Sadness. Exiles has started to become a bit depressing. Ultimates' digression into that alien shapeshifter invasion thing seemed silly and out of place, but up til then I thought it was great. Alias would be in my list in the first paragraph if it hadn't ended. I'm hoping The Pulse will grab me in the same way, but without naughty language, I'm doubtful. If an actual issue of Planetary comes out again this year (or next!), back it goes into my guaranteed enjoyment group. I like Smax the Barbarian, but I vastly prefer Top Ten, and I hope that starts up again. I'll give the series set during WW2 a try, too. Various Superman titles, Green Lantern, Flash (ugh, that art), Stormwatch:Team Achilles, I get out of inertia, I suppose. I like the PvPOnline comic book, but it's 99% old material. Liberty Meadows might be too, but since I don't follow it online or in the newspaper it feels all new to me. KoDT has been a bit of a bummer with Bob lately. More Bag Wars! Or something! Wow, this is a long paragraph. Take care, Dreeble
