The best DM tool?

Is there a general consensus on what's the best program that allows DMs to track things in combat -- initiative, HP, other such things? I think something like this would vastly help me smooth and quicken the pace of dragging combat encounters, but I can't find very many and I don't want to end up finding I've downloaded a half-ass buggy beta shareware thing.

For face to face games I would have to say maptool is probably the best.

You can find some good combat trackers on the forums to fit with maptools, though one of the ones I've found is:

rptools also has Inittool which is basically a more advanced version of the initiative tracker in maptool that is stand alone. If you don't need the full VTT functionality then that is gold. It lets you do quite a lot, although maptool itself has better macros. In any case all the rptools stuff is pretty high quality.
