[QUOTE="Dannyalcatraz, post: 4362054, member: 19675"] I might suggest that you do something like I did when I started this mess- take a look at RW knife combatants, at least in some kind of martial-arts mag or video talking about technique. That guy I mentioned was simply so lightning fast with his "carving" strikes that I could really see how a knife fighter could be so dangerous, even to someone using a weapon with greater reach. In just a couple of seconds, his blades would cover a path from knee to neck, or from inner surface of the wrist through the underarm and onto the back of the neck...crossing and re-crossing major blood vessels, tendons, etc. It was both flashy and effective. As for the armor thing, I could have sworn I saw something about the Casselines (or particular Casselines) wearing some light chain vests or some such in addition to the vambraces- that's why I came up with the "Armored Monk" thing. I could be wrong, of course. I've never been a fan of getting too specific in defining base classes- it always seemed to me that you could define a few basic classes (say, Arcanist, Mentalist, Priest, Rogue and Warrior) then use skill & feat cascades/package deals that would define the PC more specifically. I mean, "Noble", for instance just describes someone with land and political power, possibly even money- but depending upon their specific training and desires, they might be warriors, students of the arcane, non-combatant diplomats, etc. Similarly, a "Highwayman" might be a noble who got disgraced and dispossessed, an unemployed mercenary, or a lifelong thug.
