Spellbreakers.  Definitely spellbreakers, bred to counter powerful magics.  Also perhaps having alchemists working for centuries on diseases and infirmaries that can affect warforged.edit: ah, crap, I wrote this before you posted part 2.  Change elves to some other love-lived race that's pissed off</blockquote>
