I was unimpressed. The acting was okay, but the writing was shallow and archetypal, leaving the characters to be mere sketches of people, so most of them lacked anything like a real personality. The plot has been similarly thin.

I generally give any new show at least three or four episodes to grab me, so I'll probably watch a couple more, but my expectations are not high.

I concur with Umbran.

the pacing felt rushed, like we were hopping from scene to scene, rather than moving from scene to scene.

We'll see if it gets better...

I've only seen a couple of commercials, but he doesn't seem to be wearing a mask. Kinda odd for a 'dead' guy trying to redeem his name. And capes are frikkin dangerous!

I enjoyed the show, although I thought the pilot was stronger than the second episode.

As far as the pacing goes, it actually felt to me like it was paced like a comic book.

I have seen several people reference Heroes when discussing this show, and I think that sets up expectations that aren't quite right. I think Heroes was a TV show that wanted to play with comic book tropes in a drama. I think The Cape is trying to tell a comic book style story in the TV medium.

I'll be interested to see this progress. I'm enjoying it, but I can see so many places where they could really screw it up if they don't keep "comic as a TV show" concept in mind.

the first two episodes did not particularly thrill me. felt way too two-dimensional and rushed. HOWEVER, all shows take a little while to find their space, so i'm willing to give it a fair shot of a couple more episodes before making my decision on it....

i want it to do well because genre shows don't often get approved by network execs. but, well, we have to see....
