He essentially believes that humanity needs to find a path of its own, not ruled by outsiders.Ralan would have woken as an Elan a few months ago This is just enough to have been trained in the rogue arts (although he had a natural affinity for them, since his former self was also a rogue) and to hone in his natural psionic abilities.
