"Quiet, you!" says Palindrome, cuffing the halfling behind the ear, "Familiars are to be seen and not heard." The wizard enters the pantry, whispers the incantation to disarm the explosive runes, dials in the fourteen digit combination, removes the false bottom, unlocks the mini-safe, disarms the poison dart trap, and retrieves a tin of coffee beans from the farms of Mount Celestia. He removes the decoy beans from the false tray at the top of the tin and retrieves two fistfuls of Holy Beans. He replaces the tray--because Doddoddod always takes the beans off the top. The old wizard has an appreciation of many things, but he couldn't identify coffee to save his life. (And it actually almost killed him.) Palindrome shoves the beans in his mouth, crunching them with relish. He draws a flagon of water, shoves a finger in it to bring it to steaming temperature, and chugs it, swishing it about in his mouth. He gargles. "Oh, yeah. That hits the spot." "I'm for hitting the road, too." "Oh, and don't talk to the familiar. It only encourages them to have ideas beyond their station, like 'Why am I the one that has to walk in front of the party and stomp the floor to activate traps?'"
