Round 3 Palindrome flips the trap door shut, ending the danger for now. End combat, for now. The fort construction will take perhaps an hour; that means you can take multiple short rests if you like. This means that Atreus' temp HP go away now. Also, everyone reaches a milestone and gains an AP, among other possible benefits I may have forgotten. Using a hatchet from the woodpile outside, as well as various cutting tools from the kitchen, Palindrome leads the construction of a crude fort from the materials at hand. The resulting contraption is heavy and fairly sturdy, if perhaps not as large as could have been hoped; only two people will fit inside comfortably, or three if they squeeze. Eventually, the preparations are complete, and the party gather in front of the trap door. (Let me know everyone's position, and who's in the fort.) [sblock=status] This needs updating based on what you do in the short rests, obviously. spears at G1, undamaged Crossbow 1, 27 damage, "bloodied?" Crossbow 2, undamaged Palindrome 27/27, one failed death save Woe 28/40 Tander 29/29 Atreus 20/24 Resources used: * Tander: surge x5 * Atreus: Surge x4, healing potion * Palindrome: Surge x6, healing potion * Woe: Surge x6 [/sblock] [sblock=fort mechanics] We'll run this like one of the vehicles from AV, mostly modeled on a wagon. The Fort (medium vehicle) HP: 100 Space: 2 squares by 1 square AC 3; Fort 10, Reflex 3 Speed: 3 less than the slowest creature carrying it, or 4 less if only one creature is carrying it. Always at least one square. Creature-Drawn: The Fort is carried by one or more of the creatures inside it. Carrying the fort takes both hands for each carrying creature. Moving the fort takes a move action from each creature inside it, and can only be moved during the driver's turn. That is if Woe and Tander are inside the fort, and Woe uses a move action to move it on his turn, then on Tander's turn, Tander is considered to have already used his move action for that round. If Tander declines to use his move action, he does not remain inside the fort. If the driver uses two move actions to move the fort twice, each creature inside must use two move actions to remain inside. Driver: Whoever's in the front of the Fort. The driver must be carrying the fort, using both hands, or it cannot move. Load: Two medium creatures, or three medium creatures if they are squeezing (PHB p.292). Superior Cover: Creatures in the Fort have superior cover against foes the the front, top, or one side of the Fort, and have an additional +2 bonus to AC and reflex. That work for you guys?
