The day EN World stood still...

...well, not quite. But still, this is the first time that the main page has displayed no news at all. Even before, when there were no updates, it left up the old news. This is just plain disconcerting.

I agree... the last few days, it's only been displaying one days worth of news. I preferred multiple day so I could see if I missed something... but it also has the benefit of keeping something on the page if Morrus can't update for a day for some reason.

Yeah, I didn't realise PostNuke would do that if I didn't update for a day or two.

Since it's Christmas, I haven't been doing many news updates over the last few days. I'll be doing one today before I head out of town, and then I'll be away until Friday (at which point there will no doubt be a massive news update).

So, it looks like from Wednesday until update on Friday, it'll show no news at all. Not much I can do about that, I'm afraid. I'll make sure the announcement at the top of the centre column explains things. :)

Thanks for letting us know, Morrus.

If the PostNuke software is anything like the MovableType software I use to run my personal website, you can actually change the setting on how many days back the page displays.

Of course, not knowing PostNuke itself, my observation may be of absolutely no relevance, and even if it is possible, I wouldn't know how to actually do it in PostNuke.

I'm an "ideas" guy, not an "action" guy. :)

'Tis true, there is a setting to allow older posts to linger. Also, if you log into 'Your Account', you can change how many articles show up on the main page.

The version Morrus is running is newer, so, dont hold me to that, but the version I'm running DOES allow it.
