Originally, I was going to take a lowly toad and stick 10 or so templates to it. But I got bored after the first three. Oh well. This creature looks like a toad, but its body is rotten and bits of skeleton are exposed. The animal's shape is disturbingly twisted and distorted. A loud, warped croak is audible as this foul being opens its shapeless maw. The death croaker is a horrible creature - a pseudonatural zombie paragon toad. It is said to be a result of experiments of a crazy DM who used too many templates. Those vile creatures have been released in the wild and are extremely dangerous to anyone who meets them. COMBAT Single Actions Only (Ex): As a zombie, death croakers have poor reflexes and can perform only a single move action or attack action each round. A death croaker can move up to its speed and attack in the same round, but only if it attempts a charge. Epic Natural Weapons (Ex): A death croaker's natural weapons are treated as epic for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction. Constant Insight (Su): A death croaker makes all its attacks with a +15 insight bonus (already given in the tables). The creature is not affected by the miss chance that applies to attacks against a concealed target. Improved Grab (Ex): If a death croaker hits an opponent smaller than it with a tentacle, it deals normal Damage and attempts to start a grapple as a free action without provoking an attack of opportunity. Rotting Constriction (Ex): Once a death croaker has hold of an opponent, each successful grapple check it makes during subsequent rounds permanently drains 2d4 points of Constitution. At the same time, the death croaker regains 10 lost hit points. Spell-Like Abilities: Caster level 20th. The DCs are Charisma-based. At will - blur, dimension door, shield, unhallow. Alternate Form (Su): At will, a death croaker can take the form of a grotesque, tentacled mass (or another appropriately gruesome form), but all its abilities remain unchanged despite the alien appearance. Changing shape is a standard action. Other creatures receive a -1 morale penalty on their attack rolls against the death croaker in this alternate form. Skills: A death croaker's coloration gives it a +4 racial bonus on Hide checks.
