The DM did IMPURE things to my PC!

He shouldn't have allowed it in the first place, he seems to be failing to understand his error or appreciate how you feel about it in the second place, leaving you with very little choice for the third place.</p><p></p><p>3) The damage has been done and the character as you concieved it - and as you were ALLOWED and led to believe by WILLFUL omission played it for an extended period - is destroyed. It is NOT the character you had any interest in playing, nor have an interest in attempting to continue to play. You are NOT going to be happy continuing to play a character that you feel this way about and you are not going to anyone any good by being a "good sport" and continuing to try. So don't.</p><p></p><p>4) The DM cannot force a player to play a character he doesn't want to play. If he tries no good will come of it. As an example: actions dictate alignment. It doesn't matter that a PC has his alignment changed by a helm of opposite alignment. After the change the player merely needs to have his character act according to the alignment he WANTS and the characters alignment changes BACK to that alignment. Forcing an alignment change one way DOESN'T prevent it from ever changing back. I don't know about the Warhammer game system but I'm willing to bet money that the normal charm magic in the game does NOT allow players to do what they did, and for the very reasons we're now seeing.</p><p></p><p>5) Players do not have a right to disrupt a game, even if it's only disrupted for you. Not because they outnumber you. Not because THEY think it will be fun. Not because their alignments make it technically possible. If they do then they're being jerks. Period.</p><p></p><p>6) The DM does not have the right to ALLOW disruption of the game via usurpation of control of your character. "Spoiling the surprise" is SO not the point. The point is allowing you to believe that you're all playing one type of game, but really everyone EXCEPT you is playing a very different game - and they all want to have fun by jerking you around, despite the fact that it is unlikely to be even marginally fun for you (and as it turns out, it isn't.)</p><p></p><p>Give the DM your character sheet and tell him:</p><p>"You quite effectively took my character from me, preventing me from playing the character even close to what I had conceived and what you had allowed me to believe I could continue playing. I no longer have an interest in pursuing this character any further regardless of what you had planned. Your plans are irrelevant to me right now. As things currently stand as I cannot envision how your plans will change the way I feel about what happened to my character. This character sheet is thus yours to do with as you will. I've told you what _I_ would do with the character at this point but apparantly I'm not allowed to DO what I want to do with this character. So YOU play him since YOU are controlling him, not me. Or do whatever else you like with him. He's dead to me."</p><p></p><p>Then just politely roll up a new character and UTTERLY IGNORE the old one. Don't even bring it up. Don't let him talk you out of it either. You're not giving up your character to be mean or vengeful. You're giving it up because the other PLAYERS and the DM were inconsiderate and spoiled things. You can't now unrot that spoilage, but you can throw it away. Tell him that as long as everyone agrees that at the very least from this point on they'll be a bit more mature about "mind-controlling" ANYONES character there's no reason the game can't simply move on from this point. And there isn't.</p><p></p><p>Yeah, what they did to you and your character was VERY crappy. But since it seems that you don't really want to go dumping your gaming group and looking elsewhere you don't need to then hold this over their heads forever (unless they do it again). Create a character that you like that will FIT with what the other players and the DM seem to want and go with it.</p></blockquote><p></p>
