Here was our original conversation: Me: > 3. You have Dodge listed twice, with it factored into your AC twice! > Maybe this is a house rule in a game you've played. :) I don't > allow this, but I do allow the Mongoose Quint Fighter Improved Dodge > feat (prereq: Dodge) which gives +1 Dodge AC vs all opponents, rather > than just one - you can take this if you wish. Nir: > A: Help me understand this rule found in a SRD site > (http://www.systemreferencedocuments.org/35/sovelior_sage/featsFtb.htm > l) > > DODGE [GENERAL]... > A condition that makes you lose your Dexterity bonus to Armor Class > (if any) also makes you lose dodge bonuses. Also, dodge bonuses stack > with each other, unlike most other types of bonuses... > > It clearly states that dodge does stack with other dodge feats. This > does not seem to be a house rule. me: Uh, that's a rule for what general bonuses stack with each other, and it does NOT say the Dodge feat stacks with itself. Initiative bonuses stack too, that doesn't mean you can take the Improved Initiative feat and get +8 to initiative! Feats only ever stack with themselves (ie can be taken multiple times) if they say so in the Feat description - eg Toughness. Have you not played before?
