The group would give him plenty of time to create the scrolls...he just doesn't take the time. The rest of the group isn't asking for him to change the personality of his character, just to be more productive in battle when needs be.
Re: stuff This isn't true. I play the wood elf rogue. I'm always fighting in ranged combat(but not long range usually within 20')...whatever it takes to aid the party in defeating are foes. The wizard/bard is also fighting in melee...when she runs out of spells she charges using her rapier. I play my rogue as a scout and am always put into dangerous situations. This could be eliminated if the druid wildshaped into a bat or other small flying creature and scouted ahead but he is too hesitant. Part of the game is about taking risks and he refuses to take any. Sure he is very useful and does act as the main healer of the group but he is often not around to heal during the main battle when things get dangerous and healing is needed. His healing is saved till we are victorious and SAFE! He also, as he himself has quoted , has closer bonds with certain members of the group...in other words plays favorites. He revels in the fact that the wizard/bard and himself are the founders of the group and his aid is often given out by that bondness he claims to have. In the past it hasn't been to much of an issue but on this particular mission, one which is beyond are levels but we took on nonetheless, we need all the offense we can get. I have often pleaded with him to make me scrolls of heal to take the burden off himself but he doesn't wish to lose XP's and claims he isnt given the time to make them. The group would give him plenty of time to create the scrolls...he just doesn't take the time. The rest of the group isn't asking for him to change the personality of his character, just to be more productive in battle when needs be. As a character I often put my neck out for the benefit of the group as does the rest of the party, the druid doesn't always do that and sometimes it hurts the group.
