Ok, so here's what we have so far: The stereotypical party is sitting around a sterotypical table in a stereotypical tavern. In walks a mysterious stranger who informs the party that the princess has been kidnapped by evil clerics and taken to a nearby dungeon, and hands them a large sum of gold to rescue her. Along the way, the party runs into a group of monsters that are totally out of context with the environment, before arriving at the dungeon, which is conveniently located nearby, as mentioned earlier. They also meet a gynospinx, who tries to riddle them, but in the end just proves to be mildly annoying. Once inside the dungeon the party discovers: A gelatinous cube, Monsters who don't seem to notice combat *right* next door. An orc guarding a pie. Green slime dripping from a narrow passage. That the princess is actually being held prisoner by a dragon. A monster that is way to big to fit thru the only door to the room. A statue with gem eyes that comes to life if the gems are removed A pit trap with an otyugh. Zombies. Zombies are a must, and a mummy for good measure. A prisoner, who proceeds to backstab them in some way. I'm thinking about adding a duck as well. This will be the most potent creature in the dungeon, causing any sensible adventurer to flee in terror. Anything else? Oh, and unless otherwise noted, all rooms will be 10x10' squares.
