I can agree with everything Mordmorgan said. You seem to have a long term relationship with this group. That can be a difficult thing to overcome when things start to go downhill. Always the first thing to try: talk to the players outside of the game. Explain that this is your creation, and the world revolves according to your rules. There will be (many) times when they cannot know the whole story, just to keep the suspense of the campaign and give them challenges worthy of their abilities.Wait, this player is in my group!
