Valendir once again finds the Companions, with the help of Jack Lobbins (though it took a bit, as the Atomie kept flitting about to explore this Clock, or that magically-illuminated sign). Once together again, all that seemingly remains is to deliver the MysteriousBox to the Gnome King and then your (Kaz,Taklinn,Aska's) lives are once more their own. Walking along the Avenue towards the center of the City, the sights to be seen are astounding. To most, the place looks like some fabled Faerieland (although Jack says that Faerie isn't so Garish), to Jason it looks live Vegas on Overload. After an hour or so (with several more stops for folks to gawk at strange devices in windows and at least one occurance of a mistaken store-clerk who thought that Kaz had stolen something, the Castle comes into view... The Castle is a magnificent thing, towering higher into the air than any of the other buildings in The City of Clocks. 'It's a Skyskraper...' Jason murmurs as you all take in the view. There must be a hundred levels of windows, starting 30 feet up or so, the lowest part being all of steel and stone. Jack immediately flits off to ascertain just how many levels of windows there are. At the base stand a set of massive Double-Doors, with fifteen foot tall Constructs similar to the one that nearly ran over Valendir at either side, These are not equipped with sweeping brushes and blades, however. Each has four arms, two ending in hands, bearing hammers, and two looking nothing-so-much as huge versions of the wonderous weapon that Jason used to dispatch the Jedurak Demon, with blackened steel barrels and all sorts of bits involved. OoC:For those joining after, Jason carries a Thompson SMG... Kael and Taklinn both note that there is a Gnome embedded deeply into the Constructs, as if the things were a big suit of armor...
