Hoping it'll be done by the new year, but my friend is doing the soldering so he's working on it in fits and spurts. All said and done all the parts were maybe $700, I had some parts laying around. The neck and body were only ~$300, and surprisingly everything fit together. Only modifications that had to be made so far was that the machine head peg holes had to be reamed out wider to fit some GraphTech Ratio tuners I was planning on putting on something else. The fret ends need to be rounded a bit too. It's kind of cool building your own guitar with what you want, within reason. My friends addicted, he's on build #3. I don't have many regrets in life but one that still bugs me is this one. I took Building Technology in High School, which is learning house stick framing. I had 2 periods of shop every day. My teacher came to me and said "Kid, you're screwing around, let's do a final project that will engage you", he offered to help me build a guitar from scratch. Really wish I'd taken him up on that offer, not to mention the guitars I sold over the years.</p></blockquote><p></p>
