"What's more, I'd appreciate the chance to satisfy my own lingering doubts if you don't mind. I hate to be so rude, and truly I would like to trust you. But I confess that I find myself uncertain whether I believe your story. If you will permit it, my Goddess will grant me the power to see any stain upon your soul. It would satisfy my doubts, and perhaps those of the Lady here as well." He turns back to Meadowbrook for a moment. "Which reminds me... might I enquire as to your name? I believe I know you by reputation, but that is hardly the same as a real introduction. I am Firen Stormsong." So saying, Firen bows once more.  Firen's bow is interruped by the arrival of this stranger, and he is immediately on guard. Looking swiftly round at the door he grimaces and steps away from Meadowbrook. "I would advise caution," he says in hushed tones. "Will you permit me to open the door? I would not have you risk yourself if this stranger proves to be ill-intentioned."</blockquote>
