OOG: Ishmael draws the scroll of Protection from Evil and successfully casts (1d100=11) it. If he can make a 5-foot adjustment without a chance of tripping, he'll do so, moving away from the Redcap. Declaring Dodge on the Redcap, if I haven't done so yet. AC 21 (+3 dex, +1 size, +5 armor, +2 deflection) w/ PoE, 22 w/ dodge. Ishmael chooses to subtract 3 from all his attack rolls until the next round. His AoO modifier should be like so: +1 Glaive +4 1d8+10 Fate gives Ishmael a reprieve, stalling the Redcap with a stubbed toe. He backs a short distance away from the cursing Redcap and suddenly notices the lack of grace in his steps. The Spell of Swiftstriding must have expired! I must cast it anew, else mine path of escape is denied me! He searches within himself and finds that he no longer has the sorcerous energy to cast a spell of that magnitude. He needed rest, first. Ishmael keeps the realization and the mounting terror within his fast-beating heart. I... we must slay it somehow. Escape is no longer an option for me! With what little time is given him, the Deep Halfling prepares for the whirlwind of death that wishes to charge him. He keeps his eyes on the Fey as he plucks an Arcane Scroll marked "Spell of Warding" from his belt. Ishmael flaps the magic parchment open with one hand. Afterwards, he reads aloud the contents. The spell disappears from the magicked scroll and transfers unto the Deep Halfling, creating a protective barrier. He drops the blank scroll to the ground and hefts his Glaive in defense, once more. His eyes follow the bloodied Scythe blade with no small amount of anxiousness.
