Andus was obviously startled by the discovery of Kini but Lattimer just laughs, "Ugliest damn sneak I ever saw. But, hey, maybe you can use him as goblin bait or something along with that gnome." He spits on the ground for emphasis. Lattimer has a very obvious distaste for non-humans. Andus shrugs and, with the most forward statement he's made since Ngoya met him two days ago, "He's got some skill, sir, that much is certain. Is he coming with us?" Lattimer sighs, "Yeah, whatever, get going." [ooc] Moving forward a bit to the end of the day. Feel free to embellish the day's travel with a bit of roleplaying. [/ooc] After leaving the city, the group makes good time heading north along the old stone road toward the ruins of Seattle. The stone roads that crisscross the land used to be called "highways" according to scholars. The ones that are still intact provide a relatively convenient means of travel between settlements. Andus and the recruits aren't terribly talkative. By the end of the day, with the ocean to the west providing a cool breeze, the group reaches a small cluster of ruined buildings that used to be a small town. The buildings were all stripped of anything useful a long time ago and are now used as shelter for travelers. Several pre-Shattering vehicles, also gutted and now little more than rusty skeletons, dot the stone field nearby, once known as a "parking lot."
