Greetings, On December 10 and 11, 2011, I ran my final two sessions of a campaign story arc that's been in development for ten years. The sessions centered on the characters defending a holy city from a vast superior hegemonic force--very similar to the hosts of Sauron besieging Minas Tirith, the forces under Mehmet II attacking Constantinople, or the Emperor Xerxes sending his "1,000 nations" against the 300 Spartans. The besieging forces had superior technologies (equivalent to 16th Century Europe--or The Empire from Warhammer Fantasy Battles), while the besiegers possessed technologies based on the Hundred Years' War. In the end, most of the characters perished, and the city did fall, but the characters ultimately achieved victory. What follows is the list of songs--the soundtrack--I played during those final sessions. I've listed them by song title, artist, and album. A lot of them come from movie soundtracks. May these 60+ inspire you and enhance your gaming experience as they have done for myself and my players.
