I personaly would accept the taxes and return the loans within my lifetime and would be content to know that my children would be free of it's burden. I believe most or all of us would. But limitations imposed as safety measures increase the pressure dramaticaly and so called counter moves cause resentment that lead to rebellion. It is natural that men strive for more and those already powerful covet more power. And I believe you know all this. So, either you are now goading me or your master has wrongly analyzed facts.
