Personally, I wish that this topic could be discussed without people being offended at every niggling detail, but it seems unlikely that is the case.
So I'm closing this thread. I'm going to allow more senior moderators to decide if perhaps it makes more sense to reopen it later, after everyone has a chance to cool off... perhaps giving a few people a vacation from posting in the thread to make that possible... but for now, I think the key points have been made. Or possibly just lost.
