It's like D&D but with the thesaurus abuse turned up to 11!

All the words used are real, or are made by combining real words. For example in Favonian Picaroon, "favonian" means "of or relating to the west wind" and "picaroon" means "rogue" or "pirate". The "pilliwinks" in Pilliwinks Devil is a thumbscrew -- a device used for torture. "Vitrit" means "angry".

Right then, we can have a mini-competition for folks to come up with quirky monsters to attach to aforesaid names - with quirks to make players confused...(rubs hands together fiendishly...)

Another possibility is that some of them could be used as alternate or local names for pre-existing D&D monsters. For example:

Affright = banshee
Dweomer undoer = disenchanter
Favonian picaroon = air elemental or aerial servant
Lord of the Unerring Bow = title of Corellon Larethian
Semi-elemental = genasi
Unembodied essence = ghost
