Four Sides With each newly arrived coal-leaper, Annit shuffled back deeper into the gap. Despite the high risk of burns and scalds, everyone made it across just fine! Teamwork had really paid off. The rogue knows of course what lies within easy reach of this hole, and takes you around the immediate vicinity. A great pipe of basalt has grown up into the space, and around it cracks and separations make something of a rough square-patterned path. To the left and right of it, more cracks that look easy enough to enter, lead off into darkness. First though, Annit almost excitedly lets everyone know about an opposing wall, a side of the black monolith that defines the edges of this dark interior. Upon it, a square shape has been marked, almost as if burnt in with a branding iron capable of melting rock. Within it's centre lies a depression, the shape of a five-fingered hand. “I didn’t touch it yet,” Annit states. The bitter smell of steamy coals wafts in from the red finger occasionally, but at least it is slightly cooler in here. For now at least, nothing to worry about.
