Large & Medium Tree Tiles
by Keith Robinson

Ever wanted a simple set of tree tiles that you could print out and throw down on the battlemap? Well, I did! And after looking high and low, I eventually decided to make my own. Since I was happy with the outcome, I decided to make a pdf and give them away for free!

Download them now for free!.

A small pack of large and medium tree tiles, which can be printed out and used in your game. Each image is 300 dpi and full color.

So if, like me, you're fed up of looking for some attractive, simple trees you can print out and use as tiles, then this is for you.

- 4 large unique tree tiles
- 4 medium tree tiles (smaller versions of the large ones)
- 300 dpi
- full color

Available for free download from RPGNow.

Hey Keith, love your campaign setting... any chance of a 4E conversion anytime soon?

Hi Amphimir Míriel,

Thanks :) I have plans for The Kyngdoms and have been working behind the scenes to do a major overhaul. I'll be making an announcement about what my plans are in the forthcoming weeks or month or so.

So, keep your eyes peeled. If you keep an eye out on my EN World blog or my forums you might get an early sneak peak.

Thanks again...

Hi,

They are nice tiles - but not really tree size. A tree that's 5-foot across is a bush isn't it? Looking at even small trees out of my window they have to be 20-foot in diameter. But oddly, a typical big deciduous tree that has a large diameter will probaly only have a 5-10 foot trunk at ground level, whilst a fir tree is more like to have branches right down to the ground and then a typical Xmas tree will be 5-foot across.

So - I sort of interpret your tiles to mean the blocked space at ground level from a bigger overall tree. Is that what you intended?

Hi Anselyn,

Thanks for your feedback!

They're intended to be used however you want to use them. But yes, when I designed them it was to represent the part of the tree that the PCs will interact with most (ie the trunk) - there's just no point doing a 20-foot plus tree canopy when it will have no bearing on how the PCs interact with the tree. So the DM may choose that the tree tiles are areas that can't be moved through, are at half speed, give cover, concealment, etc.

It's just a simple and more attractive way of placing some terrain features down on your battlemap without having to draw them every time.

I hope you find some use for them :)
