Second, if there's a sickness, IMO, that's the notion that insults are always in the eye of the beholder, that saying &quot;the n-word&quot; is okay because &quot;I don't mean it as an insult&quot;, this sort of dismissive apathy that screams &quot;either you understand words like I do, and you're okay, or you don't, and you're not worth talking to&quot;.
