I am fully on board (but not uncritically) with the Mandalorian, and I do think this will be great. However, I can see your point. Disney needs to learn to make stuff that can stand on its own better. That said, let's dig in. It looks like there are some real deep cuts in this film. Firstly, "live action" Zeb is in this. Nice. Secondly, there are quite a few aliens, including a gladiator hutt! I'm seeing speculation online that one of the hutts, possibly the gladiator, is "Stinky" (Jabba's son, who was rescued as an infant by Ahsoka and Anakin during the Clone Wars animated movie). Thirdly, there's a Mantellian Savrip, first introduced in the OG Star Wars as a holographic dejarik piece. Fourthly, that guy with the wide-brimmed helmet is Embo, an alien bounty hunter from the Clone Wars cartoon. (He fought alongside Anakin and Obi-Wan protecting Felucian farmers against Hondo's gang in an episode that was a direct nod to the Seven Samurai.) Lastly, that alien who shuts up shop when Mando asks about a hutt is played by none other than Martin Scorsese!
